Job Opportunity: Accounts Receivable / Insurance Data Entry Clerk

Location: Cook Corporate office

Positions Available: 1 Full Time
Work Location: Cook Dental clinic
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm
 
We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable / Insurance Data Entry Clerk to support our growing medical and dental clinics. This position will complete billing functions related to patient insurance charges for the medical clinic in Cook, MN. This position may also be cross trained to perform additional billing functions when appropriate.
 
Accounts Receivable / Insurance Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Enter medical provider charges into data practice management system
  • Submit health insurance claims to appropriate insurance companies, correct information as needed in order to minimize rejections, and follow up as appropriate
  • Balance quarterly Medicare credit reports to reconcile discrepancies
  • Ensure all medical health insurance is billed for patient accounts by month end deadlines
  • Reconcile and submit financial reports to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Maintain and update patient billing accounts
  • Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies before, during, and after the submission of insurance claims
  • Comply with HIPAA requirements and standards to ensure patient confidentiality
 
Accounts Receivables / Insurance Data Entry Clerk Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Programs (excel, word, outlook, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of dental & medical terminology preferred
  • Medical and dental billing and customer service experience, 4 or more years preferred
