Job Opportunity: Licensed Dental Hygienist

Positions Available: 1 Full Time
Location: Cook, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5 pm
We are currently seeking a full time Licensed Dental Hygienist to support our growing dental clinic in Cook, MN. Our dental teams enjoy a positive and fast paced environment in modern and well equipped facilities. This position will deliver direct patient care as assigned using established dental hygienist procedures.

The Dental Hygienist will work closely with Dentists to perform routine procedures, such as cleaning, polishing, X-rays, and applications of sealants, fluorides and other dental agents for the prevention of dental decay.
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
  • Review and record patient medical histories and dental charting
  • Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments
  • Perform root planning and scaling procedures for the treatment of gum disease
  • Examine patient gums and teeth for signs of disease, charting conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment from dentist
  • Administer local anesthetic agents under dentist’s general supervision
  • Operate X-ray machines
  • Provide patient education to assist with developing and maintaining good oral hygiene
  • Maintain, sterilize, and sharpen dental equipment
Dental Hygienist Requirements:

  • Current MN Licensure in Dental Hygiene
  • Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, procedures and techniques
  • 2-3 years experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
  • Experience with VisDental or other electronic dental records is also preferred
  • Flexible and Supportive Training
  • 12 Annual Vacation Days - Accrue up to 320 hours
